Who I
 Work With

I work with people whose lives have a story to tell, one in which life has had both successes and struggles in a human and authentic way. Often they are men, first responders, and the “working well” who appear to have their shit together while also struggling mightily to do so. They find themselves at a crossroads of continuing patterns in the past manner that got them there, or challenging it with the reward of feeling real intention and action in their daily living.

About Me

From an early age I’ve been the “helper friend” who’s good at listening and also challenging the thoughts and opinions of others. I’ve thought that people are often “nice” to each other, yet struggle to be “kind” in the ways that a challenging and supportive person should be. I’ve been the one who finds joy and humor in the uncomfortable spaces, while also bringing an authenticity to the roles of work, parenting, friendship, and self discovery. Over 20 years in the field has taught me to lean into the discomfort and utilize it as a catalyst for change, not something to be feared.

I find great value in bringing humor to the table in most situations, and a sense of not taking ourselves too seriously, because frankly most others don’t either. I am a lover of the outdoors, a passion for sports that be done lifelong, and hold the dream of being a grumpy old man someday, for all the right reasons. Finding a sense of contentment and presence in the moment has helped me through some of life’s biggest challenges, and honed my ability to connect with people. I feel honored to meet people in whatever space they find they’re in and help them through it with a supportive and objective hand to guide.

How I Work

I begin our work by understanding your story and the ways in which its led us to working together. Supportively challenging and pointing out patterns as a way to bring further clarity to self allows for you to tell me where I get it and where I don’t, while aligning with your real sense of the day to day challenges you navigate like a bad ass without even knowing. My bullshit tolerance threshold is low, as is my tolerance for negative self talk. People tend to leave my work with a clearer sense of the challenges they face, which ones to continue fighting, and which ones to move on from so that purpose and intentions can become a pillar of their work long after we are done.

Where I’m Not a Fit

1. I’m not the one who will give advice and expect it to be followed or embraced.

2. I’m not the coach who will idly sit by watching past patterns continue to be expected to work in current dynamics.

3. I’m not a fit for folks looking to keep things the same with the hope of it getting better.
